Abstract

The topicality of research`s subject. The study of the component composition of body weight in representatives of various somatotypes will supplement the data on the morphological characteristics of women of the first period of mature age. A correlation analysis between the components of the somatotype and the component composition of body weight will allow us to determine how these indicators can be equivalent markers for predicting physical and functional fitness. The purpose of the study. To establish the component composition of body weight in women 25-35 years old of different somatotypes and to study the relationship between the somatotype and the component composition  of body weight. Research methods: anthropometry, bioelectric impedance method, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: The level of subcutaneous and visceral fat is the highest in women with an endomorphic somatotype, and the lowest in women with an ectomorphic and balanced somatotype. The lowest content of the muscle component in women is of an endomorphic somatotype. A very high degree of correlation was established between the percentage of subcutaneous fat and endomorphy. Subcutaneous fat and endomorphism are predictors of low levels of VO2 max and some physical qualities. A high degree of correlation between the percentage of visceral fat and endomorphy was revealed. There is no correlation between the percentage of the muscle component and mesomorphy. Сonclusions: The features of the component composition of body weight in women of the first period of mature age of various somatotypes are established. A very high degree of correlation was found between the percentage of subcutaneous fat and ectomorphy. There is no correlation between the percentage of the muscle component and mesomorphy.
