Assessment of the level of culture of choreographic dance movements in students of the faculty of physical education and sport

Abstract

Relevance of the research topic. The level of culture of choreographic and dance movements of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports is considered. The peculiarities of the content of choreographic exercises in the discipline «Rhythmics and Choreography» are experimentally investigated and analyzed. The aim of the work is to determine, investigate and experimentally substantiate effective means and methods of forming a culture of movements of students studying the discipline «Rhythmics and Choreography» at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Theoretical and empirical research methods are used in the work: analysis of professional scientific and methodical literature, sociological research methods (questionnaires), method of expert assessments, methods of mathematical statistics. The study involved 1st year students in the number of 124 people of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in the following specialties: 014.11 Secondary education (physical culture), 017 Physical culture and sports. Results of work. Analysis of the results of the questionnaire shows that most students during their studies at school have never studied choreographic exercises, hand and foot positions, and no attention has been paid by the teacher to the correct performance of posture in physical education lessons. The observational experiment revealed that the level of performance of choreographic exercises and positions of arms, legs in both boys and girls is low. After the experiment there were positive changes in the performance of boys and girls in the assessment of choreographic positions of arms and legs (specialty physical culture), specialty (sports): girls in the assessment of choreographic positions of arms and legs in boys in the assessment of posture exercises (squats, full squats)
