AESTHETICS AND PHILOSOPHICAL PROBLEMS OF HAYAO MIYAZAKI'S ANIMATION WORKS IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBAL CULTURAL INTERACTION

Abstract

The article analyzes the work of the outstanding Japanese animator and director, co-founder of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki in the context of his aesthetic and philosophical influence on world culture and cinema. The role of Japanese animation (anime) as a globally recognized cultural phenomenon, which is an important economic player and the main component of Japan's «soft power», is highlighted. The formation of the artist's worldview, which was influenced by his father's professional activities, is analyzed, which explains the moral ambivalence of his attitude towards technology, aviation and militarism. It is noted that the philosophy of Miyazaki's work is based on an eco-critical view. A classification of models of human-nature interaction in his works is presented. It is emphasized that Miyazaki's work contributed to a paradigm shift in Western animation, influencing Pixar and Disney studios by means of integrating the emotional component and multi-layered, universal themes. It is noted that his legacy remains relevant due to the universality of themes and the elevation of anime to the level of world cinema.
