Policy on the AI use
We consider artificial intelligence tools as an auxiliary resource that can support the researcher in the process of preparing a scientific text, but not as a subject of authorship, review or editorial decision-making.
All scientific materials published on the journal website must be the result of human intellectual activity. The use of artificial intelligence technologies is allowed exclusively as an auxiliary technical tool and cannot replace the author's contribution, affect the reliability of the results or distort the principles of academic integrity.
The journal "Journal of Cross-Cultural Education" in its editorial activities is guided by the Order of the Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi dated October 31, 2025 No. 203 https://vspu.edu.ua/science/new-style/doc/ai.pdf "Policy of using artificial intelligence in educational and scientific activities", as well as the current legislation of Ukraine and the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science for ensuring academic integrity.
Authors are allowed to use artificial intelligence tools exclusively as auxiliary means for:
- linguistic and stylistic editing of the text;
- checking grammar, spelling and punctuation;
- improving the readability of formulations without changing the scientific content;
- translating the text (subject to further author verification);
- technical preparation of the manuscript for submission.
The use of artificial intelligence tools is prohibited for:
- -generating scientific results, conclusions or interpretations;
- -creating or modifying empirical data, statistical indicators, experimental results;
- -forming research methodology;
- -automatically creating significant parts of the scientific text without significant author contribution;
- -creating or falsifying references, bibliographic descriptions or sources.
Materials in which incorrect or undeclared use of AI is detected are considered to violate the principles of academic integrity.
Authors are required to declare the use of AI if such tools were used in the preparation of the manuscript.
Information on the use of AI is indicated:
- at the end of the article (in a separate paragraph), or
- in the cover letter when submitting the material.
Recommended wording:
During the preparation of the manuscript, the author(s) used artificial intelligence tools exclusively for language editing and/or technical processing of the text. All scientific results, interpretations and conclusions are the author's own.
The editorial board reserves the right to:
-·check the submitted materials for undeclared or incorrect use of AI;
-·require additional explanations from the author;
-·reject manuscripts in case of violation of this Policy;
-·initiate the procedure for retraction of the article in case of violations after publication.
Responsibility for the content of the publication, compliance with the principles of academic integrity and correct use of artificial intelligence tools lies entirely with the author(s).
