Correction and Retraction
Corrections, Retractions and Updates to Published Articles
The Collection of scientific papers "Public Administration and Law: History, Theory, Practice" adheres to the International Association of Scientific, Technical & Medical Publishers' (STM) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines on the Preservation of the Objective Record of Science.
Editorial Changes and Proofreading
The editorial board reserves the right to perform literary and technical editing of manuscripts. However, any significant editorial changes that may affect the content or interpretation of the text, as well as any abbreviations or reductions in the article's length, are carried out only upon agreement with the authors. The final version of the article is sent to the author for approval before publication.
Corrections
Articles that have been published should remain extant, exact and unaltered to the maximum extent possible. However, if a change to the Version of Record is necessary, it will be done after careful consideration by the Editor. Any major errors will be accompanied by a separate correction notice permanently linked to the original article. Minor errors that do not impact the reliability of the content will be corrected with a footnote added to the article.
Retractions
The policy of retracting published articles is based on COPE's Retraction guidelines. A retraction will be considered:
- If there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error.
- If the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing or justification.
- If the research constitutes plagiarism.
- Where there is evidence of fraudulent authorship or compromised peer review.
- If there is evidence of unethical research.
Expressions of Concern
An Expression of Concern notice may be considered where major concerns have been raised, but the outcome of the investigation is inconclusive or will not be complete for a considerable time. The expression of concern will be linked back to the published article it relates to.
Article Removal
In rare circumstances, an article may be removed if the content poses a serious risk, violates privacy rights, is defamatory, or is subject to a court order. In such cases, a removal notice will be issued in place of the article.
Updates and Scientific Discussion
Addenda: A notification of an addition of information that does not contradict the original publication. Addenda may be peer-reviewed and are subject to oversight by the editors.
Comments and Responses: Short articles outlining observations on a published article. The comment is shared with the authors for a Response, which may be followed by a Rejoinder from the commentator. All published comments, responses, and rejoinders are linked to the original article.
