СИНТЕЗ МИСТЕЦЬКОЇ ТВОРЧОСТІ ТА ГРОМАДСЬКОЇ ПОЗИЦІЇ АЛЛИ ГОРСЬКОЇ В УМОВАХ ТОТАЛІТАРНОГО РЕЖИМУ

Abstract

The article explores the synthesis of artistic creativity and active public position of the outstanding artist of the sixties Alla Horska in the conditions of the totalitarian regime of the 1960s. The relevance of the study is due to the need to restore historical justice and understand the role of the intelligentsia in critical historical periods. The mechanism of interaction between artistic practices and the active socio-political position of the artist is analyzed, demonstrating how her nonconformist creativity became a form of resistance, and her civic position was the source of her artistic works. The use of monumental and easel art by Horska, in particular mosaics, and psychological portraits of the sixties, as a coded language of resistance and a means of national self-affirmation is investigated. It is emphasized that the life, creativity and public position of A. Horska turned her into a symbol of indomitability and the struggle for Ukrainian culture, and her legacy is of exceptional importance for the formation of national memory and further artistic innovations.
