The abstract discusses the development of rhythmic sense in younger schoolchildren (aged 6–10) through the method of body percussion – creating rhythms using one's own body (clapping, tapping, clicking, etc.). The relevance of the topic lies in the fact that rhythm is the basis of musical perception, promotes coordination of movements, attention and joint music-making, and body percussion makes learning accessible, playful and does not require special equipment. The method is based on the principles of Emile Jaques-Dalcroze's eurhythmics, where music is perceived through bodily experience, activating sensory-motor integration, and Carl Orff's approach (Orff-Schulwerk), where the body becomes the primary instrument, combining movement, singing, playing and improvisation. Practical examples of exercises are given: ‘Echo Rhythm' for the development of auditory memory, ‘Body Orchestra' for ensemble playing, ‘Rhythmic Fairy Tale' for stimulating imagination and social interaction.Downloads
