FEATURES OF CONDUCTING TRAINING OF STUDENTS OF MUSIC AND PEDAGOGICAL SPECIALITIES

Abstract

The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of professional conducting training for students of music and pedagogical specialities. The content and structure of the educational process aimed at developing conducting skills, choral–vocal competence, and artistic–interpretative abilities of future music teachers are analysed. Particular attention is paid to the significance of choral score analysis as an essential component of conductor training, which ensures a comprehensive understanding of the composer's artistic intent, in-depth assimilation of the musical and literary text, and the identification of stylistic parameters of performance interpretation. The article highlights the role of the conductor’s personal qualities – musical–aural imagination, emotional expressiveness, artistic intuition, and analytical thinking – as key factors in effective rehearsal and performance activities. The necessity of improving the system of conducting and choral training in contemporary conditions is substantiated, taking into account the requirements of modern music-pedagogical education and the increasing importance of the creative individuality of the future music teacher.
