Peculiarities of Plastic Interpretation of Plant Forms in Stained Glass Art

Plant forms are one of the most common and enduring motifs in stained glass art throughout its history. They combine decorative, symbolic and spatial-plastic functions, actively interacting with the light, architecture and aesthetics of the era. The article examines the evolution of the plastic interpretation of plant motifs from Gothic to modern times, the peculiarities of stylization in key styles (Art Nouveau, Art Deco), the influence of execution techniques on the plastic solution, as well as the symbolic load.References
