Formatting requirements
- Page format: A4; margins: 2 cm on all sides; font: Times New Roman; font size: 14 pt; style: normal; line spacing: 1.5; paragraph indentation: 1 cm (automatic); the text should be typed without hyphenation.
- Illustrative material should be printed in italics without underlining or quotation marks; the unit under study should be highlighted in bold italics; explanations of individual words and concepts should be placed in quotation marks «...», while the lexical meaning of a word should be indicated in semantic quotation marks ‘…’; references to illustrative sources should be provided in parentheses (T. Shevchenko).
- A clear distinction must be made between the dash (–) and the hyphen (-); quotation marks should be used only in the format «» («text»). Abbreviations such as etc., initials with surnames (e.g., T. H. Shevchenko), page references (p. 34), and place names (e.g., Vinnytsia) should be typed using a non-breaking space (Ctrl + Shift + Space).
To avoid unnecessary spacing, the “Show/Hide formatting marks” function should be used.
- Quotation marks «...» should be used in the text. If both internal and external quotation marks occur, the quotation should be formatted as follows: «…“…”…».
- Illustrations (diagrams, graphs, charts, etc.) should be numbered within the article and accompanied by captions placed below them (e.g., Fig. 1. Psychological Characteristics of the Character). Tables should also be numbered within the article and provided with titles placed above the table in the center.
Sequence of Structural Elements of the Article:
- first line – UDC code (bold, left-aligned);
- next line – title of the article (bold, centered);
- next line – title of the article in English (bold, centered);
- next line – author’s name and surname (bold, left-aligned);
- next line – academic degree, academic title, position (italic, left-aligned);
- next line – full name of the institution where the author works or studies (italic, left-aligned);
- next line – author’s ORCID (italic, left-aligned);
- next line – author’s e-mail address (italic, left-aligned);
- after one line – abstract in Ukrainian and keywords;
- after one line – Abstract and keywords in English;
- after one line – the main text of the article with headings highlighted in bold (see section I.2);
- after one line – List of References (arranged alphabetically);
- after one line – References.
In-text Citation Format
Citations in the text should be formatted in accordance with the international standards of APA Style.
References in the text should be indicated in square brackets: the number of the source from the reference list and, if necessary, the specific page. For example:
[5] – reference to the fifth source in the list;
[5, p. 8] – reference to a specific page;
[5, p. 8–9] – reference to several pages;
[5; 8; 10] – reference to several sources.
