Abstract

Modern basketball is characterized by changes in the rules of the competition, the training system of basketball players. This is due to increased dynamics of the game and requirements for the level of athletic, technical, tactical and psychological preparedness of athletes. The purpose: to study the trends and current problems of training high-class basketball players in modern conditions of globalization and popularization of basketball. Material and methods: analysis of literary sources, the Internet, pedagogical observation of the training process and competitive activity of high-class basketball players, analysis of competitive activity, survey, systematization and generalization, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. Significant factors influencing the development of basketball in the world at the present stage are the processes of globalization, commercialization and professionalization of sports. This contributed to the creation of a hierarchical club vertical, influenced the redistribution of talented players among the leading leagues and clubs in the world. The changes led to the creation of an international market for sports services and the redistribution of human resources in professional leagues and clubs in the world. The evolution of the rules competitions of FIBA led to a significant intensification of training and competitive activity: the number of matches and individual tournaments increased; the tight competition schedule in many professional teams affects the quality planning of training activities. The experience of the leading countries in basketball in implementing long-term centralized training programs for the closest reserve of national teams has been analyzed. The tendencies for decreasing the age of the beginning of basketball and the increase in the duration of the sports longevity of experienced basketball players in sports of the highest achievements were identified. The necessity of introducing innovative approaches to the sports training of 3x3 basketball players is justified. Conclusions. Taking into account modern trends in the development of basketball in the world and the introduction of new approaches taking into account the disciplines of basketball will contribute to the effective development of the sport at the international and national levels, increasing the professionalism of teams and clubs.
