The article highlights the peculiarities of the creative style of Svitlana Sashchuk, a poet born in Volyn. The object of the study is the book of poems "Other", which is divided into two sections: “From the Beginning to the Return" and 'Insomnia Kathismas'. The first is a preamble to the second, characterizing the peculiarities of the personal myth of the lyrical heroine, while the second immerses the reader in the whirlpool of her experiences related to the Russian-Ukrainian war. The concentration of national authenticity and ethno-regional peculiarities as artistic dominants of stylistic originality in her work leads to many artistic analogies with the phenomenon of Ivan Marchuk's plein air painting. The authenticity of the author's worldview is revealed through the prism of genetic memory, namely the memory of the family, where the key motifs and images are realized in direct connection with God as the center of the artistic universe, the guide of all intentions, aspirations, and actions. Religious motifs are expressed on three levels: pagan (animistic and pantheistic accents), the phenomenon of dual faith (paganism and Christianity become one, interpreted as a folk religion), and a distinct Christian one, especially in the section “Insomnia Kafismas.” The subject of poetic reflection is the image of the lyrical heroine, whose inner world is commensurate with the world around her. She is a child of nature, directly living in its time, empathizing, caring, helping, and in the second section embodies the spirit of motherhood and Ukrainianness. It is the Ukrainian world in the panoramic depiction of cities, villages, rivers, and regions that dominates the motivational and figurative parameters, conceptualizes the existential nature of life as a prerequisite and consequence of time in the author's artistic universe. The imperative "Live!” acquires the features of a leitmotif, a concept, a dominant, and gradually reveals its ideological and artistic essence.References
