Анотація

У статті проведено комплексний аналіз та систематизацію відомостей про високогірні озера льодовикового походження в Українських Карпатах. На основі багаторічних польових досліджень та використання сучасних геоінформаційних інструментів (Google Earth) верифіковано ключові морфометричні параметри: площу водного дзеркала, довжину, ширину та абсолютну висоту розташування об’єктів у масивах Чорногора, Свидовець, Мармарош та Привододільні Ґорґани. Звернуто увагу та виправлено низку фактологічних помилок і термінологічних суперечностей, що тиражуються у науковій та навчальній літературі. Зокрема, уточнено площі найбільших озер (Герешаска, Бребенескул, Апшинець), розмежовано назви схожих об’єктів та спростовано помилкові дані щодо висот і глибин. Окрему увагу приділено класифікації озер за типом улоговин та їх ролі у формуванні гідрографічної мережі регіону. Результати дослідження мають практичне значення для оновлення змісту шкільної географічної освіти (8 клас), організації навчальних екскурсій та екологічного туризму. Наголошено на важливості популяризації достовірних наукових даних для запобігання поширенню аматорських топонімів та міфологізації унікальних високогірних екосистем.
