Correction and Retraction
The journal Innovations in Preschool and Primary Education follows international standards of publication ethics and ensures transparent procedures for corrections and retractions.
Corrections
The journal publishes corrections in cases of significant errors that:
-
affect the content, interpretation, or understanding of the published work (e.g., errors in data analysis or presentation);
-
affect the publication metadata (e.g., author name, affiliation, article title).
If an author identifies a significant error or inaccuracy in a published article, the author(s) must promptly notify the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board evaluates the case and, where appropriate, issues an official correction notice.
Correction notices:
-
are published as separate documents;
-
clearly reference the original article;
-
are added to the electronic (PDF) version of the article.
Retractions
The journal’s retraction policy is based on the recommendations and standards of the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), particularly the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
Retractions are issued in cases of serious ethical or scientific violations, including but not limited to:
-
major errors that invalidate the results or conclusions;
-
data fabrication or falsification;
-
plagiarism or substantial self-plagiarism;
-
duplicate publication;
-
other breaches of academic integrity.
In the event of a retraction:
-
a retraction notice is published stating the reason(s) for retraction;
-
the notice is directly linked to the retracted article;
-
the original article remains accessible but is clearly marked as retracted.
