Abstract

The article highlights the relevance of the problem of training future primary school teachers to organize children‟s project activities. The purpose of the scientific work is to reveal the theoretical and methodological aspects of professional training of future teachers to organize project activities of primary school students. In particular, its own definition of the concept of «professional training of future primary school teachers to organize children‟s project activities» is proposed. The main tasks of professional training of future teachers to use project technology are outlined. The advantages of project activities are presented. Training of future teachers to organize project activities of primary school students is defined as a necessary structural component of the professional culture of a future primary education specialist. The topic of the theoretical and methodological block of professional training of future primary school teachers is presented. The experience of professional training of students of the specialty «Primary Education» of the Valentina Voloshyna Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education of Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University is presented. Academic disciplines are proposed, during the study of which higher education applicants gain knowledge about project activities and acquire practical project skills and abilities. The focus is on the course «Organization of children‟s project activities». Organizational forms that contribute to the preparation of future teachers for the implementation of project activities of younger schoolchildren are identified. Various types of projects completed by students (creative, research, informational, practice-oriented) are presented. Pedagogical conditions for the preparation of future primary school teachers for the organization of project activities are highlighted. The stages of students‟ project activities are outlined. The content of the concept of «readiness of a future teacher for the organization of project activities of younger schoolchildren» is revealed and its criteria are determined. The results of the study indicate that the professional training of a future primary school teacher should focus on the formation of skills in organizing, managing and monitoring students‟ project activities.
