Abstract

The authors of the review analyze a collection of essays by a famous Ukrainian historian, devoted to a wide range of problems of socio-economic and socio-political history of Ukraine during the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries. The reviewers paid special attention to the original and productive approaches of Prof. Reient to study of Ukraine's involvement in the modern global agricultural market, as well as the crisis in Ukrainian society during the First World War and the Ukrainian Revolution.
