KIDUMATICA: THE YOUTH MATHEMATICS CLUB

Prof. Miri Amit is pleased and proud to report the unprecedented successes of the «Kidumatica»
students who participated in competitions and Israeli mathematical Olympics this year.
First place worldwide was awarded to a Kidumatica student who participatedin the Slavin long-distance competition, held by “Quantum” magazine in Russia.
Championship for students grades 9-12 (Haifa University) Kidumatica students won:
First, second, and third place for 9th grade, first and second place for 10th grade, and first and
second places in grades 11 and 12.
Total, Kidumatica students received nine out of 21 awards (43% of all prizes, 55% of the first
places).
Gillis Olympiad (Weitzman Institute of Science) This competition is the most challenging, with 120
students participating nationwide, 19 of whom were Kidumatica members.
For the first time in its history, Kidumatica students won first and second place. This is a
significant accomplishment!
