Abstract

The article considers peculiarities of professionally directed teaching of foreign languages by means of online technologies. It is elicited that the principle of professional orientation of foreign languages teaching will be implemented if authentic material relates to specific professional activity of future educators. Training of oral and written language should be associated with the development of foreign language competence in order to talk on professional subjects, exchange experience with foreign colleagues, annotate and review scientific professionally related texts. Learning a foreign language must be professionally directed, because it provides the formation of communication skills necessary for future educators in their field. It is emphasized that professionally directed foreign language teaching will be successful if the participants of the educational process actively use resources and services of the Internet, providing access to information contained in various formats, using the latest methods and techniques of foreign language teaching in the classroom and virtual office at home via telecommunications. This article describes the possibilities of online technologies such as blogs, wikis space, podcasts, digital portfolio. It is claimed that online technologies can improve the quality of teaching and learning a foreign language, providing opportunities for rapid analysis of information and getting feedback. They can also implement advanced pedagogical ideas, approaches and concepts that are directed towards the formation of creative personality of the future educator, his willingness and ability to develop professional skills and improve professional activity.
