PEDAGOGIKA KATOLICKA DROGĄ BUDOWY «EUROPY KARPAT»

Abstract

More and more frequently, we find the action of various groups, organizations, communities that aim to build unity of Europe at various levels and in different aspect. It becomes necessary to build this unity in form of education and upbringing based on Catholic values. Catholic pedagogy is to build this unity, it is also to be the answer to current challenges in the context of the will of John Paul II and forming from below initiatives concerning organization and conducting among others: Catholic schools, care and educational units, charitable and cultural units. In this spirit, the idea of «Europe of the Carpathians» was created, which each year includes new environments. An important educational and forming environment is the academic environment, which must concern a new form and new direction in education, which is Catholic pedagogy. For this purpose, the International Council of Catholic Education was created as a group of people undertaking these challenges. Its task is to develop appropriate programs also for academic purposes.
