IMPLEMENTATION OF STEM-TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS OF STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL SPECIALTIES OF COLLECTS AND TECHNOLOGIES

The need for highly skilled engineering and technological professionals requires a change in the
system of traditional education, the introduction of innovative teaching methods. To this end, a plan of measures for
the introduction of STEM-education has been introduced in Ukraine, which will make it possible to update the naturalmathematical direction of training and develop the skills of research and engineering activities.
This article explores the issue of the introduction of STEM-technologies in teaching mathematics students of
technical specialties of colleges and technical schools. This work can be done through innovative forms and methods of
training, research projects, work of electives and circles, participation in Olympiads, scientific projects, competitions,
quests, hackathons, etc. The article also deals with the didactic features of the use of integrated classes, applied tasks,
design and research activities and web-services in the study of mathematics, as well as their influence on the formation
of key competences of a future specialist.
The use of integrated classes is intended to represent a close relationship between related disciplines; practical
tasks allow to show the practical value of the studied material and form skills to apply the acquired knowledge for
practical needs; research and project activity is aimed at creative work, self-knowledge, ability to generalize the
results; thanks to digital technology learning becomes interesting, exciting, saves time, allows repeated repetition of
the experiment.
The introduction of STEM-technologies in teaching mathematics develops cognitive activity, motivates, develops
the imagination of students.
