Abstract

The article deals with the status and development of practice-oriented professional education. Everyone can get
post-secondary professional education in many countries. There are a lot of practically oriented professional schools which side by side
functionate with traditional universities. Nowadays the content and educational programs are changing with reinforcing technical and
technological side and improving their practice organization.
Educational institutions are oriented towards professionalization, providing a policy that addresses the needs of economic and
social realities with enterprises cooperation. Opportunities for citizens in the United States in the post-war period were dramatically
expanded for obtaining a practically oriented higher education. There are over 2000 local colleges providing a professionally directed
higher education for students within two years.
There were higher professional schools in German in the 70s of the last century, where education level was characterised by
practical applications in industrial areas.
The system of professional education in the UK, called the system of further education, presents a large variety of colleges,
training centres, institutions which train students at various levels from vocational to higher ones.
The opportunities to get higher education not only in universities but also in commercial and polytechnic colleges have appeared
since the 60s of the last century.
Over 50% of all types of educational training in France have a professional focus. Professional Bachelor Preparation is set up in
high schools and craft training centres. Students master the craft through a series of practical work and internships in enterprises and
combine these activities.
Professional-oriented education in Ukraine is practically oriented and helps to solve technical, economic and social problems.
Professionalization is one of the main vectors of modern education.
