Abstract

The aim of this article is to investigate the European education policy related to cultural diversity in the Greek
system of teacher education. Thus, the author is given a description of the concept of «the European dimension in
education», as this refers to cultural diversity and constitutes an element of European education policy. Then, European
policy on diversity is interpreted in the Greek educational system with special reference to the conceptualization of
inclusion and exclusion.
