Abstract

The article useв the system-activity approach to address the problem of professional competence of border guard
officers in-service training. Comparative analysis of psychological and educational research allowed to identify features of
professional competence. Established that the professional competence of and border guard officers have the following
characteristics: socio-legal, functional and temporal regulation of cross-border services officer; extreme conditions to carry
out, the collective nature of military service and direct interaction during military operations and communication.
