Abstract

The article presents the results of the research carried out with the aim of designing the
results of the training of future biology and human health teachers in higher education institutions. Taking into
account the competence-based approach in education, the results of the training are developed as a list of programmatic learning outcomes and competencies that determine the qualifications of the graduate. During
their determination, the requirements of the employers for the professional qualities of the teacher and the
personal needs of the modern specialist were taken into account. Accordingly, the general (social and personal)
and professional competence are selected for higher education applicants specialty 014 Secondary education
(Bbiology and Human Health). It is substantiated that professional competencies include research, projecting,
organizational, management, and control. The list of learning results is determined, which reflects the expected
academic achievement of the student and characterizes the formation of the program competences of the future
teacher of biology and human health. The formation of the projected learning results and competencies will
provide the formation of teacher's personality which capable of decide professional problems in organizing and
implementing the educational process on biology and human health in a general school and have professionally
significant personal qualities.
