TOPICAL ISSUES OF MODERNIZATION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING

Abstract

The article considers the issues of modernization of vocational training in Ukraine, strategic
approaches to solving the related problems. It is defined, that one of the main trends of its reforming is modernization,
in order to bring it closer to the European and world standards. Modernization is one of the main conditions of
realization of renovation of vocational training during decentralization of financing educational establishments. The
competency based approach is substantiated to be the main in the system of vocational training. Training of a
competent specialist is a pedagogical process the main result of which is his readiness to future professional training.
It is impossible to modernize vocational training in Ukraine according to regulatory documents without taking into
consideration regional peculiarities in the system of development of the national education at new labour market.
Ukrainian vocational education is currently in a transitional stage, aimed at its decentralization. Responsibility
for the implementation of these or other areas of training is laid on local authorities, which should monitor the needs
of enterprises, find opportunities for cooperation with business in the field of educational services and rational
allocation of money of their own budgets.
