The article identifies the main trends in the development of higher education under quarantine
restrictions. Emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of distance training, its advantages (freeing part of students 'working time, the opportunity to continue studying in social isolation, the possibility of parallel
work, etc.) and disadvantages (providing motivation for distance work, increasing teachers' working time,
student identification, etc.) . Possible ways of further development of the education system are analyzed:
partial change of traditional learning conditions, outsourcing of education, expansion of geographical
boundaries of education and intensive involvement of social innovations. The existing problems of the
problem of higher education in Ukraine, which have been exacerbated in a pandemic, are outlined: lack of
experience in organizing distance training of future specialists, a significant increase in the volume of
independent work of students; unwillingness of teachers to use pedagogical innovations in the process of
remote interaction with students, inconsistency of disciplines taught in the free educational institutions of
Ukraine with international educational standards, as well as low efficiency of research activities in the free
educational institutions. Based on the study, the main features of the innovative model of training future
professionals in the postcoronavirus society are identified and characterized. In particular, they include the
formation of readiness of future professionals for self-education, the search for a rational relationship
between the formation of hard skills and soft skills, students' understanding of the highest human value and
security, development of communication skills of future professionals, finding the optimal balance between
material and spiritual needs. formation of a culture of tolerance. Prospects for further research are the
element-by-element development of an innovative model of training future specialists in the
postcoronavirus society in the process of training specialists in technical specialties.
