Abstract

The article deals with the problem of forming critical thinking as an important condition for the
development of professional identity. The terminological analysis of the concept of "critical thinking" is carried out.
The qualities and skills that students need to develop in order to develop their critical thinking is outlined. Examples of
technologies of formation of critical thinking in the process of professional training of future teachers are given.
Proposed practical tasks for independent work, contributing to the development of their own strategy of innovative
professional activities for future teachers.
In the modern world, the most demanded are specialists who have a systematic, holistic approach to solving
any problems. After all, the lack of experience in using critical thinking leads to the fact that a person loses the ability
to integrate understanding of information around the world and takes it only in a simplified form. This "promoted"
means of mass communication, whose influence is constantly increasing. By imposing their point of view, they
generate a request for answers in the finished form. So, if we want to live in a society of successful and creative people
who are able to analyze information and develop their own development trajectory, it is necessary to change
approaches to education at all stages of the formation of the individual.
Consequently, in the article the technology of forming critical thinking allows to reach the set goal, and
therefore it is an important condition for the development of the professional identity of future teachers.
