Abstract

The article is a theoretical research of the future speech therapist’ professional communicative competence formation in the professional training process problem. Different scientific approaches to the problem of professional competence and the formation of communicative competence of students are dealt with in this article. The article shows the importance of studying this phenomenon. The necessity of forming of communicative competence of speech therapist in the process of university study is grounded.In the article the generalized determination of the concept «readercompetence», the role and functions of the special courses and optional subjects are exposed, the specific of literary optional courses is outlined as an effective form of the development of the reader competence of modern students.
