Abstract

The article deals with the problem of formation of the skills of fast reading in junior pupils. It is
pointed out that not all students can read quickly. There are plenty of reasons why this happens: younger students find
it difficult to memorize the material, they are not able to concentrate their attention. The structure of the developed
reading skills, which includes two components: the technique of reading (quick perception and the number of words
read, for example, per minute), is revealed. understanding of the text (understanding of the content). The value of read
speed as one of its qualities is revealed, which allows the reader to understand the read. It is stressed that the
technique of fast reading allows the child to be more time to develop and develop faster, to accelerate the process of
assimilating any information, to read more literature - from artistic to specialized. It is noted that without an informed
and swift reading it is impossible to effectively train students from any other subject.
It is determined that there are different methods, which include a number of exercises and tips for
accelerating the pace of reading and development of the speech apparatus. One of them is a quick reading technique.
The exercises that help children learn quick reading techniques are described and described. It is noted that in order to achieve a positive result, it takes 3 to 7 weeks with systematic classes lasting 10-30 minutes
a day.
The importance of developing fast reading skills from childhood and its influence on the child's future success
through exercises, interesting labyrinths, crosswords, puzzles in a positive, friendly, comfortable environment that
promotes the development of perceptual and mental abilities of the child is proved. It is indicated also that the
exercises will be useful for pupils who read well, because systematic implementation of them will allow them to learn
