Abstract

Over the past decades, the use of Probability Theory in theory and practice of economic sphere
has grown increasingly, its use is basis for economic modeling and various economic processes. The experience of
teaching mathematics at university level for faculty of economics has shown that exists a problem with students
performance in the studying process of probability theory, which is related to the problems in understanding of the
basic concepts and methods and their application in solving practical problems.
One of the ways to solve this problem is to develop a methodology of the implementation of information
technologies in the process of learning random variables based on graphical analysis of functions.
GRAN 1 is an effective aid in studying the probability distribution of random variables using a graphical
method, the advantage of which is to demonstrate the dependency of the curvature image to the properties of random
variable. The analogy between the analytic property of random magnitude and its geometric nature provides an
opportunity to show a graphical representation of a mathematical fact and contributes to the formation of stable
mathematical concepts. The proposed method of introduction IT into the process of learning random variables is built
on the basis of geometric interpretation of the properties of random variables, helps to understand the concept of the
material in graphs by using the integral image, and the geometric essence of the presented material is more
comprehensible and simple for students. Key words: Information Technologies, educational process, probability theory
