FEATURES OF THE PREPARATION AND CONDUCT OF THE METHODOLOGICAL COLLAGE "ORGANIZATION OF EXTRA-CLASS WORK IN THE SYSTEM OF LITERARY EDUCATION OF STUDENTS" IN THE FORMAT OF LABORATORY CLASSES ON LITERATURE TEACHING METHODS

Abstract

The article features the effectiveness of laboratory classes in methodological education of future
philology teachers, analyzes modern approaches to organizing the work of philology majors during these classes,
elucidates the peculiarities of preparing and conducting such an innovative activity as methodological collage which
has been successfully implemented in the course of “Methodology of teaching Ukrainian literature”. This study is of
particular significance due to the fact that it is the first time that this type of laboratory class suggested and
approbated by the lecturers of the department of methodology of philology and stylistics of the Ukrainian language of
Vinnytsia state pedagogical university has been elaborately described. The author has not only developed an algorithm
of preparing and conducting this kind of activity but also described the organization of self-study of philology majors in
completion of advanced tasks for successful public presentation of projects. The article presents samples of advanced
tasks, assessment criteria for students’ project activity, examples etc. The article also focuses on those extracurricular
activities on literature studies that are most common in school practices: literary humor contest, literary music
composition, literary brain-ring, literary dispute, virtual excursion, reading conference etc. It is important that the
technology that is being described relates directly to the conditions of the school laboratory and thus enables students
to acquire practical skills essential for organizing extracurricular activities.
