KEY ASPECTS OF TEACHING PATHOLOGICAL PHYSIOLOGY TO STUDENTS FACULTY OF DENTISTRY

Abstract

The article highlights the experience of the integration of the educational process and the key
aspects of the teaching of pathophysiology to students of the Faculty of Dentistry of National Pirogov Memorial
Medical University and also the main problems that arise during the teaching of this discipline.
The lectures and practical classes outline the main theoretical positions of the discipline with the use of
modern interactive visual means, skills and abilities of their practical application are formed, as well as the peculiarities
of the etiology and pathogenesis of dental pathology in accordance with the themes of the lecture.
In order to improve the quality of teaching discipline, in addition to test tasks and situational tasks, the results
of clinical laboratory studies are successfully used in practical classes: blood tests, urine, which are characteristic of
different pathologies.
The introduction of a credit-module system of the teaching pathophysiology to the requirements of the
national education requires careful construction of the educational process at the Faculty of Dentistry, taking into
account the peculiarities of the causes and mechanisms of the development of pathological processes and diseases in
dental pathology, the mandatory solution of pathophysiological problems and clinical situations, the creation of
motivation to study Pathophysiology by future specialists in the dental specialty.
