Abstract

The article is devoted to socially significant problem of teaching kids value orientation in the process of artistic activity. Junior school age as the initial stage of a child's socialization needs special attention. A child who goes to comprehensive secondary school receives an opportunity to get pedagogical influence on their personality. Artistic activity in the educational process is an essential foundation in teaching children values. It contributes to the formation of the child's personal position, the desire for selfexpression, the development of cognitive interests, the formation of the ability to understand an artistic image, etc. The meaning of the concept of "value orientations" is shown as a set of values, beliefs and ideas that determine what is important, valuable and acceptable in life for a specific person or community. The article describes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study that analyzes the problem of teaching kids value orientations in the process of artistic activity. The influence of age and individual characteristics on the process of teaching value orientations of younger schoolchildren is shown here. The article defines pedagogical abilities for artistic activity in teaching value orientations of younger schoolchildren. The author describes the criteria and indicators that are used to estimate the formation of kids` value orientations in the process of artistic activity. The research outlines the ways and methodical foundations for teaching value orientations of younger schoolchildren in the process of artistic activity, specifies pedagogical conditions for optimizing their formation in younger schoolchildren. It also reveals the features of the axiological approach in the process of artistic activity as an educational requirement of the time, determines the indicators of the methodological willingness and readiness of teachers for teaching younger schoolchildren value orientations in the process of artistic activity.
