ЗАРУБІЖНИЙ ДОСВІД МЕДІАПЕДАГОГІЧНОЇ ПІДГОТОВКИ МАЙБУТНІХ УЧИТЕЛІВ ІНОЗЕМНОЇ МОВИ

Abstract

The importance of modernization of future foreign teachers’ training content and introduction of new multimedia
technologies in foreign language learning have been emphasized in the article. Potentiality and advantages of multimedia technologies
have been analyzed and it has been proved that the use of these technologies during professional training of foreign language teachers
contributes to forming of their media culture, media literacy and thus media competency. The specificity of future foreign teachers’
multimedia training in foreign experience has been characterized. It has been found out that such training provides changes in education
policy and activities of higher education institutions, namely, creation of virtual educational environment and media centers as well as
restructure of future teachers-philologists’ training content. The necessity and importance of creation of virtual multimedia environment
in higher education institutions have been accentuated. Its main components are virtual media library with multimedia courses for foreign
languages learning; virtual record library with authentic audio; virtual video library that comprises feature films, documentaries and
animated films (in the language students learn); DVD movies; network of satellite and local television; virual search engine; system of
computer-based testing with multimedia options.
