This article is focused on the problems of the distance study in professional education of the French fire-fighters,
its influence on the level of the knowledge and mastering of the learning information. The problems on the present stage
of development of modern information technologies are actual. The article has an information about introduction of the
newest information technologies in the educational process in the departmental fire services and in High School of the
fire officers.
