However, having taken the analysis of secondary teachers’ professional activity into consideration, it is possible to
claim that they are not always well-prepared. This can be explained by the fact that professional and pedagogical knowledge,
obtained by the teachers in the higher education establishments, does not include the issues of prodigy children.
Therefore, humanitarian correction of the educational sphere has become actual these days. Other changes that are
to take place concern its conceptual and methodological grounding, which makes possible the reforms and adjacent changes
regarding upbringing of the well-rounded personality, developing their gifts and talents. The article describes the
peculiarities of the work of the humanitarian gymnasium №1 developing gifted children.
