WAYS OF FORMING AESTHETIC PERCEPTION OF YOUNGER SCHOOL STUDENTS USING UKRAINIAN FOLKLORE

Abstract

In our research, we cover the actual problems of aesthetic education of a young person's
personality by means of Ukrainian folklore, the search for new approaches to the education and upbringing of
children and their introduction into the educational process of the modern school, the use of the creative potential
of folk art by the teacher, the formation of aesthetic perception of the reality, aesthetic attitude towards the
environment, the application of the principle of correlation of various types of art. The development of aesthetic
feelings, tastes, artistic skills, and abilities in the field of art is an essential condition for elementary school subjects. To achieve the goal, the selection of a set of methods for studying the level of development of aesthetic perception
in children of junior school age, the pedagogical potential of using the complex of arts in the context of the
formation of the child's creative personality, the culture of aesthetic perception of children, and the acquisition of a
coherent system of knowledge about art was carried out. We have recorded growth in the level of aesthetic
perception associated with the development of the emotional and sensory sphere and the creative potential of
children, which is due to the application of a method of activating aesthetic perception by means of engagement in
Ukrainian folk art.
