Abstract

The main directions of the use of modern information technologies in the vocational training of specialists in the tourism sector were discussed and analyzed. The role and impact of information technology on tourism training is shown. The possibilities and advantages of using information systems for tourism services are described. More well-known developments on complex automation of companies' activities in tourism were considered. The continuous improvement of qualifications and the growth of professional skills are of particular relevance in the current context of the reform of the educational sector. Societal processes in education have led to a gap between information innovation and the level of use of scientific and technological advances in learning. The advantages and disadvantages of traditional and information technology-based learning have been analysed. A significant shortcoming in the training of up-to-date professionals is the lack of professionalism in the use of information technologies, which has a negative impact on the efficiency and level of teaching. New information technologies, which have a dramatic impact on the entire educational system, have been analysed, influencing its content, forms and methods of education, which will lead to changes in the requirements of a modern higher education applicant. Almost all institutions of secondary and higher education are provided with technical equipment, which is used in all types of education. In this context, improving the quality and effectiveness of education increases the importance of visualizing educational information. The mechanism of influence of IT on the applicant of a higher educational establishment has been developed. It has been found that the advent of new technology makes knowledge transfer and access to educational information more intensive and effective than traditional learning. It is clear that the use of the information potential of modern technologies, as well as their various combinations, creates a breakthrough in the methods of organizing and implementing the educational process in the study of various disciplines at all levels of the educational system. Ways of use of information technologies and prospects of their introduction into the educational process were considered.
